Haters Are Real

I have never seen such hate and disrespect for each other ever. Even people we love… that are our friends… that we think are important and amazing will turn their backs on you and decide that you are a despicable human-being if you disagree with them.

What hell is going on? Is it not okay anymore to have different thoughts and opinions? Are we all supposed to be from the same mold, look, feel and think all the same? That is not what living here is about at all!

If I hear one more “ I don’t care, you can just unfriend me but I’m not being quiet anymore” completely rude, close minded, loudmouth statements… I am seriously going to shut down all my social media.

I’m not on the Right or Left. To be honest neither one of those fit me very well. I probably lean more conservative but I definitely have open minded views… but this “if you’re not with me, you’re against me” BS it’s too much! It’s completely unfair.

I’m here to say that I I love all of you!Whether you’re on the right or the left, no matter your political belief… I want you to have an amazing life! Live and let live!

I will still be here and still be your friend! I will still care about you and your family and your livelihood. No matter where you stand, it’s not going to change if I like you or love you or hate you for that matter.

What decides those things is your character. How you are as a person and how you treat others. Right now true colors are showing and it is truly sad… Earth shattering actually.

I wish we all could just be better humans because right now…we’re not!

  1. I have noticed more and more strong deep felt opinions being voiced. It does seem as if some people are becoming more polarised on a variety of issues. There is a growing “you are either with us or against us” attitude.

But I do think most of it is online. In day to day life, my colleagues are mostly balanced (some have their political opinions but rarely voice them in a professional environment). Occasionally a patient will come out with an extreme statement.

But I think most people with deep feelings take to the internet to voice them. For some reason when saying things online some people don’t show much restraint at all. It is exhausting! I am starting to avoid anything that exhausts me and actively look for things that refresh me! 🙂

I am going to past a link to a post from lovely Laura yesterday. I was fascinated by the comments from other bloggers. I thought that on the whole the comments she received on her post were a positive example of how people can politely and respectfully disagree, while acknowledging each other’s view as valid. I truly think it is a good example for internet users that there is a nice way to voice your opinion if you feel it is necessary:

Everyone commenting on Laura’s post expressed their view, but there is no hatred in any of their words. But on these issues, there have been extreme feelings expressed by may for and against.

Even more so on more serious issues.

I try not to let the deep feelings and divisiveness get to me. I understand that in stressful times people will be more easily provoked. I think more and people are becoming distressed by all the things wrong with the world. In a way, they are right to be distressed. (I am more worried about people who think that there is nothing wrong with the world conditions). However, I think that at the moment there is a lot of arguing about what the solutions are. To me there is only one solution. But many others seem to be going round in circles, thinking the answer is for more left, right, left, right swings.

I have a splitting headache so I am going to stop there because I cannot think straight.

All you need to know is…that not everyone is hateful. Stick with people who love kindness and are peaceable. Hatred is not nice. Unless we are talking about hating bad things like violence, abuse and broad beans. It is ok to hate broad beans.

    1. I really enjoy your insight and I’m starting to look forward to what you might say in the comments! You make a lot sense to me! We are most definitely on the same page for sure!

  2. I had to figure out what is a “Broad Bean”…LOL! I looked it up and this is what I found. I guess I highly dislike Broad Beans too. LOL!
    So funny!

What are broad beans called in America?
Yes, broad bean is another name for fava bean, which is sometimes known also as a faba, or even as horse bean. The scientific name of fava beans is Vicia faba. Broad beans or fava beans are large flat beans that are somewhat like a Lima bean in appearance.
